Safe Quality Food (SQF) and British Retail Consortium (BRC) are food safety standards that have been recognized by the Global Food Safety Initiative as meeting those minimum requirements to ensure safe, wholesome foods. Increasingly more customers are requiring that food processors are certified to either SQF or BRC standards to increase confidence in processors’ food products.
